Turkish-flagged ships that will call at Lebanese ports, and those that will sail along its coasts and in its open waters, have had their ISPS Code Security Level raised to level 3.
The announcement from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is as follows:
“Considering the security incidents in Lebanon and the recent developments, in order to ensure that Turkish-flagged ships are prepared for potential security threats, can take necessary measures while in port, and can be alerted at an early stage, Turkish-flagged ships that will call at Lebanese ports, and those that will sail along its coasts and in its open waters, have had their ISPS Code Security Level raised to level 3 as of September 30, 2024.”
