Turkish-flagged vessels that will stop at Lebanese ports, or sail along its coasts and offshore areas, have had their ISPS Code Security Level raised to 3.

The announcement from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is as follows:

“Considering the security events in Lebanon and recent developments, in order to ensure that Turkish-flagged vessels are prepared for potential security threats, can take necessary precautions while in port, and can be alerted at an early stage, the ISPS code security level for Turkish-flagged vessels that will visit Lebanese ports, or sail along its coasts and offshore areas, has been increased to level 3 (three) as of September 30, 2024.”
