The nationwide fishing ban ended on September 1st. With preparations completed, fishermen opened the season by saying ‘Vira bismillah’.
During the approximately four and a half months of the fishing ban, boats were pulled into ports and harbors. After repairs such as net mending and boat maintenance, boats set sail once again, excited to meet the blue waters.
When will the fishing season end?
The fishing season, which started on September 1, 2024, will end on April 15, 2025. After April 15, fishing with large boats, purse seines, and trawlers will no longer be allowed in the seas.
As Esenyel Partners family, we wish all the fishermen who have set sail in pursuit of their fortune, “May your seas be abundant, and your nets full.”
